Episode 79: Overcoming Perfectionism to Keep Your Business Moving Forward

 

Abby here. This week I am sharing my own personal struggles with perfectionism and how it has held me back in certain areas of my life. If you are someone who identifies as a perfectionist, you’re not going to want to miss this episode.

Where does perfectionism show up in your life? Maybe it’s in how you manage your diet, your relationships with those you love, motherhood, or maybe your work life? Today I share the difference between what inward pressure versus outward pressure looks and feels like.

Remember, not all perfectionistic qualities are bad. Those of us who identify with perfectionism tend to be laser focused, ambitious, motivated, and hard-working. These are all great qualities!  We are more likely to excel in school and sports. And becoming our best-selves is more attainable. 

However, perfectionism can hold you back. It can leave you being unproductive, less happy, and putting unnecessary pressure on both yourself and others. So how can we use our perfectionism to move us forward in both our personal and professional lives? Tune in to this week’s episode to hear some strategies that I recommend.
